Intro
Our brand new parents support project, specifically supports parents and caregivers of children and young people who are at risk of or affected by exploitation.
We offer a safe, non-judgemental space for you to share and discuss your experiences. Our worker provides emotional support, advice, and guidance, helping you explore available options and other sources of support and services.
Tailored to your needs, we assist in building a bespoke toolkit to support your family and personal circumstances. We will offer education and understanding of exploitation, its effects, warning signs, reporting concerns, and strategies to reduce risks for your family and young person.
Our support is person-led, moving at a pace that suits you, with the duration varying based on individual needs. Compassion and empathy are at the heart of everything we do. We recognise the impact these experiences have on families and aim to reduce isolation, ensuring you never feel alone.
You can currently make a self referral if your child is being supported by a Cornerhouse service by downloading the referral form below or for a more informal chat contact the project on parents@wearecornerhouse.org or call the office on 01482327044.
If you are looking for support for your child, please explore our other projects which offer one to one support to work around emotional well-being, healthy relationships, risk taking behaviours, sexuality etc.
