STREET-BASED OUTREACH SESSIONAL WORKERS - £15 per hour

Cornerhouse (Yorkshire) is excited to be recruiting for passionate and committed sessional workers to join our bank of staff and support the future of youth work in Hull through our dynamic ReachOut project.

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to be part of a movement that meets young people where they are, offering support as they navigate challenges and build brighter futures.

As a sessional worker on the ReachOut project, you’ll work alongside our existing team to expand the delivery of our city-wide, street-based outreach offer. You’ll be connecting with young people in their own environments, building trusted relationships, and providing creative, trauma-informed support.

Thanks to funding from the Sports England Movement Fund, we’re really excited to be looking for staff to add physical activity sessions in partnership with Hull City Council youth services and all new youth bus to the project.

Your work will directly contribute to:

• Empowering young people to make safer, healthier choices and engaging in physical activity.

• Strengthening community cohesion

• Creating inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and supported

• Partnership working with colleagues from the Warren, Hull City Council and Tigers Trust to name a few.

What this looks like in practice:

• Delivering 4-hour outreach shifts across Hull — with opportunities to cover additional shifts as they become available

• Engaging young people in meaningful conversations and positive activities

• Offering information, advice, and signposting to relevant services

• Contributing to ongoing reflection and evaluation to ensure our support remains responsive, inclusive, and impactful

We’re Looking for Someone Who…

• Believes in the power and potential of young people

• Brings creativity, empathy, and resilience

• Is committed to trauma-informed and inclusive practice

• Understands safeguarding and prioritises the wellbeing of young people

Why Join Us?

At Cornerhouse, you’ll be part of a collaborative, values-driven team passionate about youth wellbeing, social justice, and community transformation. You’ll have opportunities to develop professionally, contribute meaningfully, and be part of something genuinely impactful.
